StoryTrails live events feature digital experiences that allow you to experience Omagh in a completely new way through the magic of augmented and virtual reality. The library becomes a central hub of discovery where visitors can learn fascinating untold stories of their communities using the latest augmented and virtual reality technology
Outside the library you can start a guided bespoke augmented reality trail which takes you on an interactive tour of Omagh. All equipment can be borrowed for free from the library. Local landmarks are transformed to become interactive scenes through which you can explore history at or close to the location it took place in. Created featuring archive footage and recordings from the BBC, BFI and Northern Ireland Screen and local and national archives you can uncover untold stories presenting a window into the past.
Omagh Library has two big entrances on the ground floor, the main library entrance is big but you need to go up some steps. There is ramp access if you go through the car park and turn right and use the other entrance. The library is a 3 minute walk from the main high street, with a pedestrian path, and is very accessible. There is a bus stop opposite the library. There are accessible toilets on the ground floor. All the areas inside the library showing content are accessible by wheelchair.
