The Reading Agency is a national charity that tackles life’s big challenges through the proven power of reading. Through impactful programmes, tireless campaigning, their excellent networks and with the power to influence, challenge and make change happen, The Reading Agency helps over 1.9 million people of all ages. Their vision is a world where everyone is reading their way to a better life.
The Reading Agency delivers programmes across the country, including in the Government’s and ACE’s priority areas. Their co-creation, research and evaluation model has been developed to ensure that their programmes meet the needs of the people who use them, including working in public libraries, prisons, colleges, and schools. The Reading Agency work closely with publishers to deliver national reading campaigns such as the annual World Book Night and National Reading Groups Day as well as leading on the selection process for BBC Radio 2’s Book Club. The Reading Agency is a national portfolio organisation funded by Arts Council England.
